Annie Jean Williams, 84, of Cedarville died Wednesday, January 1, 2014 at her home under the care of Hospice. A Cedarville resident for over 60 years, she was born in Plains, GA on August 11, 1929 and was the wife of the late John Williams, Sr. She was a member of New Hope Baptist Church in Cedarville for over 50 years. Prior to her retirement, Mrs. Williams had been employed with the former Val Mode Lingerie and M.C. Schrank Co. in Bridgeton for 26 years. Surviving are her ten children, Booker T. Simms of Bridgeton, Annie Reid (Dr. Alufiel Grier) of Atlantic City, Willie Mae Kent (Lee) of Vineland, Rose Williams of Bridgeton, Brenda Lewis (Willie) of Brigantine, John Willie Williams, Jr. (Theresa) of Egg Harbor Twp., Nelledy Hughes (Edwin Escobar) of Cedarville, Lizzie Howell (Andre) of North Stonington, CT, Diane White (Felix Gonzalez) of Millville, Rita Scott (Christopher, Sr.) of Vineland, 30 grandchildren, 38 great-grandchildren and 14 great-great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by a daughter, Marion Williams and three granddaughters, Gina, Tosha and Lira. Funeral services will be held at Union Baptist Temple, South Pine Street and Martin Luther King, Jr. Way on Saturday, January 11th at 12 Noon with the Rev. James Goolsby officiating. Friends will be received at the church from 10 AM to 12 Noon. Interment will be made at Cedar Hill Cemetery in Cedarville.
