Raymond C. Gilman, 64, of Upper Deerfield Twp. died Monday, December 30, 2013 at Inspira Regional Medical Center in Vineland following several years of declining health. The husband of Theresa Chiari Gilman, he was born in Bridgeton on April 16, 1949 to the late Harry Gilman and Catherine Espi Gilman. He had been an Upper Deerfield Twp. resident for 38 years and had lived in Bridgeton prior to that. Before his retirement he had been employed as a power plant engineer with Atlantic Electric at the Beesley's Point Plant for 25 years. He was a devoted family man and hard worker and especially loved his grandchildren. He was also an avid Philadelphia Phillies and Eagles Fan. In addition to his wife, he is survived by his daughters, Lori Gilman-Bourdess (Rob) of Bridgeton and Lisa Gilman (Nick) of Upper Deerfield Twp.; four grandchildren, Jordyn and Robert Bourdess and Camryn and Maci Kwap; three brothers, Harry Gilman (Marlene) of FL and Frank Gilman and John Gilman both of Millville; two sisters, Bonnie Gilman-Powell of Woodbine and Rosie Gilman-Haines along with many nieces, nephews and cousins including Ed "Buzz" Gilman and his brother in law, Sam Barr. Funeral services will be held at the PADGETT FUNERAL HOME, 1107 State Highway # 77, Upper Deerfield Twp. on Saturday, January 4th at 11 AM. Friends will be received at the funeral home from 10 to 11 AM prior to the services. Interment will take place at Laurel Lawn Cemetery in Upper Deerfield Twp.
