George E. Sapp, Sr., 79, of Bridgeton died on Saturday, December 21, 2013 at Cumberland Manor in Hopewell Twp.
Born in Millen, GA on December 27, 1933 to the late Roger Sapp, Sr. and Susie Sapp, he was the husband of Cheryl Holden Sapp. George had been a Bridgeton area resident most of his life coming to the area from GA.
Before his retirement, he had been employed with Sunny Slope Orchards in Bridgeton. He had attended Bethlehem Revival Temple in Bridgeton.
Besides his wife, he is survived by; four daughters, Patricia Sapp, Diane Sapp, Debra Sapp and Tiesha Sapp all of Bridgeton; two sons, George E. Sapp, Jr. and Dontray Sapp both of Bridgeton; a sister, Marie Sapp of Ft. Lauderdale; 21 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a son, David Sapp; six brothers, Willie Lee Sapp, David Sapp, Donald Sapp, Raiford Sapp, Herbert Sapp and Roger Sapp, Jr. and a sister Martha Sapp.
Funeral services will be held at Bethlehem Revival Temple, 37 South Avenue, Bridgeton on Monday, December 30th at 11 AM. Friends will be received at the church from 10 to 11 AM prior to the services.
