Pershail E. Pearson, 68, of Westover, MD died Thursday December 12, 2013 at Peninsula Medical Center in Salisbury, MD. Born in Crisfield, MD on June 1, 1945 to the late Raymond Ames and Dorothy Teagle Ames, she was the wife of the late Emett C. Brown, Sr. She had lived at her present address in MD for the past 14 years and prior to that she had resided in Millville. Before her retirement due to her disability, Pershail had been employed as a supervisor at Woodbine Developmental Center. She had also worked at the Vineland Developmental Center. Pershail was a member of the Supreme Council of the House of Jacob in Salisbury, MD. She is survived by; five children, Raymond Lee Teagle of Millville, Kim M. Pearson of Millville, Mark Anthony Pearson of Millville, Charnette Holmes of Millville and Emett C. Brown, Jr. of GA; two brothers, Lloyd Jones of Boston, MA and Lawrence Jones of Port Norris; four sisters, Cosetta Davis of Cincinnati, OH, Rosetta Ward of Millville, Joan Ames of Baltimore, MD and Joanne Ames of CT. She was preceded in death by; two brothers, Billy Jones and Paul Jones. Funeral services will held at Shiloh Baptist Church, Memorial Ave., Port Norris on Saturday, November 21st at 11 AM. Interment will take place at Haleyville Methodist Cemetery in Commercial Twp. Friends will be received at the church from 10 AM to 11 AM prior to the services.
