Jake Jacobson & Joe Ross at Smith & Richards Lumber Co. Inc., the only remaining staff to have worked with Carolyn, mourn her passing and offer their heartfelt condolences to her friends and family. Carolyn began working here as a book-keeper in November 1989 and continued employment until July 1998 when she retired a few years earlier than expected in order to care for her sister. Carolyn saw Smith & Richards through the transitional years from manual record-keeping into the computer age and "never lost a penny" in the books. She was one of the sweetest souls we have ever known.
