Mary Elizabeth (Carney) Clark, "Wildflower", of Fairfield Twp. was born at the Bridgeton Hospital on Sept. 2, 1950 and came full circle when she departed this life on Saturday, November 2, 2013 at the same location in the Inspira Inpatient Hospice Unit. She was the daughter of the late John P. Carney, Sr. and Elizabeth Ridgeway Carney and was the wife of the late Benjamin F. Clark also known as "Johnny Knight" Mary was a lifelong resident of the area attending school in Fairfield Twp. and graduating from Bridgeton High School. She attended her family church at St. John United Methodist Church in Fordville, was a member of the Nanticoke Lenni-Lenape Indians and a past member of the Ladies Auxiliary of American Legion Shoemaker Post 95 in Bridgeton. She had been employed in quality control at Wheaton Glass Company and Triton Glass and earned her way into a management position with McDonald's while maintaining part-time employment at Eugene's on Delsea Drive. In addition to her parents and husband, she was she was predeceased by three brothers, John P., Jr., Fredrick H. and Roland W. Carney. She leaves to mourn her passing, her two children, Bronson W. Carney of Bridgeton and Robyn L. Carney of Vineland; four grandchildren, Fernando, Jamin and Bronson Carney and Ryan Hess and one great-grandchild, Jordan D. Carney. Also mourning her loss are her brother and sister in law, William B. and Judy Carney of Bridgeton, her sister, Ronda M. Carney of Fairfield Twp. and many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. Funeral services will be held at St. John United Methodist Church in Fordville on Saturday, Nov. 9th at 11 AM. Friends will be received at the PADGETT FUNERAL HOME, 1107 State Highway # 77, Upper Deerfield Twp. on Friday evening from 6 to 8 PM and on Saturday morning from 10 to 11 AM prior to the services at the church. Interment will take place at Fernwood Memorial Park in Hopewell Twp. Written condolences may be sent to the family through the funeral home website at www.padgettfuneralhomes.com
