Alice M. Scott, 65, of Upper Deerfield Twp. suddenly went home to be with the Lord on Monday, October 28, 2013 following a brief illness. Born in Salem on December 13, 1947 to the late William Kuhlman and Alice Wiggins Kuhlman, she was the wife of Reginald "Reds" Scott. She was an Upper Deerfield Twp. resident most of her life. Alice was a housewife who loved to take care of her family. She had an incredible zeal for the Lord and had been a member of the Bridgeton Assembly of God church where she volunteered in the Beacon of Light Ministries serving at South Woods State Prison and the Cumberland Manor. She was also a volunteer chaplain at Inspira South Jersey Regional Medical Center and Health South Rehabilitation Center in Vineland. She led a youth choir at her church known as the Halleluiah Gang. In her free time Alice enjoyed playing piano, writing poetry and songs and was an avid lover of the arts. Besides her husband, she is survived by a daughter, Renei Scarano and her husband Doug of Upper Deerfield Twp.; a son, Reginald Scott, Jr. and his wife Rochelle of Upper Deerfield Twp; four grandchildren, Madeline Scott, Emily Scott, Jackson Scott and Eva Marie Scarano; three sisters, Mary Stoffles of Pennsville, Grace Schaeffer of Reading, PA and Sandy Sutton of Salem; three brothers, Bill J. Kuhlman of PA, Tommy Kuhlman of PA and Eddie Schaeffer of Salem. She was preceded in death by, two brothers, Ed Kuhlman and Joseph Kuhlman and her step-mother, Alice Kuhlman. Funeral Services will be held at Bridgeton Assembly of God Church, 424 Indian Ave., Bridgeton on Friday, November 1st at 11 AM. Interment will take place at Laurel Lawn Cemetery in Upper Deerfield Twp. A visitation will be held on Thursday evening October 31st from 6 PM to 8 PM at the church. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the PADGETT FUNERAL HOME, Upper Deerfield Twp.
