Obituary of Bruce N. Cook

Bruce N. Cook, 69, of Vineland died at his home on Thursday, October 17, 2013 under the care of Hospice following six months of declining health. Born in Bridgeton to the late Samuel Cook and Sarah Curry Cook, he was the husband of Carolyn Sheppard Cook. Bruce had lived at his present address in Vineland since 1981 prior to that had been a resident of Bridgeton. A veteran of the United States Navy, he served his country during the Vietnam Conflict. He had owned and operated Bruce's Lawn Care in Vineland for over 20 years which continues to be operated by his son. Bruce also enjoyed candle making as a hobby. Besides his wife, he is survived by two sons, Richard Cook and his wife Kristina Bates Cook of Richland and Kenneth Cook and his wife Lesley McCormick Cook of Commercial Twp. and five grandchildren, Allison Cook, Melody Cook, Shawna Miller-Cook, Mary Miller-Cook, and Samuel Cook. He was preceded in death by three sisters, Jeanette Cook, Annette Cook and Cecelia Cook-Miles. Graveside funeral services were held privately at the convenience of the family at Fernwood Memorial Park in Hopewell Twp. Funeral arrangements were under the direction of the PADGETT FUNERAL HOME, Upper Deerfield Twp.
