Obituary of Burnett H. Turner

Burnett H. Turner, 86, of Monroeville and formerly of Upper Deerfield Twp. died Monday evening, September 23, 2013 at the home of his daughter, Carlotta, surrounded by his family following a brief illness. Born in Richwood to the late Benjamin Turner and Katharine Yenner Turner; he was the husband of the late Carlotta Thomson Turner and the late Hilda Jacob Turner respectively. Burnett had been an Upper Deerfield resident most of his life. Prior to his retirement, he had worked as a mechanic for the former Owens Illinois Glass Company in Bridgeton for 28 years. He had also been employed by Griffin Medical Supply in Bridgeton. Surviving are one daughter, Carlotta Allcorn and her husband Rick of Monroeville; five sons, Alan Turner and his wife Suzanne of Hopewell Twp., William Turner and his wife Debbie of Pittsgrove, Stephan Turner and his wife Elaine of Largo, FL, Martin Turner and his wife Kim of Pittsgrove and Thomas Turner and his wife Annmarie of Columbia, SC; a brother, E. Judson Turner of Upper Deerfield Twp.; a sister, Ruth Logan of Stow Creek; 14 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a brother, Benjamin Turner, Jr. and a sister, Dorothy Cornatzer. Funeral services will be held at the PADGETT FUNERAL HOME, 1107 State Highway 77, Upper Deerfield Twp., on Saturday, September 28th at 11 AM. Interment will take place at Laurel Lawn Cemetery, Upper Deerfield Twp. A visitation will be held on Friday evening September 27th at the funeral home from 6 PM to 8 PM and on Saturday morning September 28th from 10 AM to 11 AM prior to the services.
