Obituary of Maricela Cruz

Born in Piaxtla, Puebla, Mexico on June 20, 1954 to the late Alfonso Diaz-Garcia and Ofelia Lopez-Bravo, she was the wife of Matias Cruz. She had lived at her present address in Bridgeton since 1997. Prior to that, she had resided in Brooklyn, NY. Maricela had worked at Dill's Seafood in Bridgeton and had been an active member of the Parish of the Holy Cross-Immaculate Conception Church. Besides her husband, Matias Cruz, she is survived by, a son, Edward Gonzales of San Antonio, TX; four sisters, Irma Diaz of Durango, MX, Ciria Diaz of Brooklyn, NY, Rosalba Diaz of Bridgeton and Elizabeth Diaz and one grandson. She was preceded in death by a brother, Alfonso Diaz. Her funeral liturgy will be held at the Parish of the Holy Cross-Immaculate Conception Church, 312 N. Pearl St., Bridgeton, on Saturday, August 17th at 11:30 AM. Interment will take place at the Holy Cross Cemetery at Laurel Lawn in Upper Deerfield Twp. A visitation will be held from 9 AM to 10:30 AM at the PADGETT FUNERAL HOME, 1107 State Highway 77, Upper Deerfield Twp, on Saturday prior to the services at the church.
