Roberta Jefferies-Gardner, age 63, of Semmes, AL died at home on Sunday, April 14, 2013 following a 15 month period of declining health. Born in Blythe, GA on November 4, 1949 she was the daughter of Willie Lee Mack Scott of Fairfield Twp. and Linzey Scott of Bridgeton and the wife of Frank Gardner. Before moving to Alabama three years ago she had resided in New Castle, DE. Mrs. Gardner had been employed with CitiGroup Corp. in New Castle, DE for 34 years and served as Vice President of Change Management . In addition to her husband and parents, she is survived by a daughter, Yolanda Scott-Rivera (Jesus) of Semmes, AL; a son, Kyle R. Jefferies of Bridgeton; two sisters, Chevelle Williams and Rosa Hunter both of Millville and two brothers, Field Scott of Augusta, GA and Willie Scott of Millville. She was predeceased by two brothers, Robert Scott and Linzey Scott, Jr. and three sisters, Linda Holden, Crystal Scott and Janie Taylor. Funeral services will be held at the John Wesley United Methodist Church, 90 Baltimore Ave., Bridgeton on Saturday, April 27th at 11 AM. Friends will be received at the church from 9 to 11 AM prior to the services. Burial will take place at Gouldtown Memorial Park in Fairfield Twp.
