Obituary of Florence Lorraine McGuire

Please share a memory of Florence to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Florence Lorraine McGuire, 86, of Woodstown, went home to be with our Lord on Monday, April 15. Her passing was peaceful with her daughter Margo and son-in-law Bob by her side. Born to Thomas and Margaret Bowen, Florence grew up in Altoona, PA as one of eleven children. Upon graduation, she was recruited to work for Owens-Illinois in Bridgeton. After "rolling bottles" for years and raising her family, Florence also worked as a dental assistant. "Flo" made a lasting impression on everyone who knew her and will always be remembered as a stylish lady who loved to dance. She was an active member of Parents Without Partners and there she met her special companion of 7 years, Arthur Brousseau. Florence is survived by daughters Margo Plummer (Robert) Upper Deerfield, Kathleen Cook (Steve) Morehead City, NC, son Patrick McGuire (Lena) Camillus, NY; 9 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; 4 great-great-grandchildren; her brother Harry Bowen; and many nieces and nephews. Florence was pre-deceased by 5 brothers, 4 sisters and 1 grandson. Funeral services will be held on Friday, April 19th at 2 PM at the PADGETT FUNERAL HOME, 1107 State Highway 77, Upper Deerfield Twp. Interment will take place at Overlook Cemetery in Bridgeton. A viewing will be held from 1 PM to 2 PM prior to the services at the funeral home. Written condolences may be sent to the family through the funeral home website at www.padgettfuneralhomes.com.
