Obituary of Kevin L. Uhland

Kevin L Uhland, 66, of Upper Deerfield Township NJ, passed away on Wednesday, January 22, 2025, at Temple University Hospital in Philadelphia, surrounded by his family after a long fight. Born in Bridgeton NJ to the late Francis & Doris Uhland, he was the husband for 44 years to Gaye (Brooks) Uhland whom he married on September 27, 1980. He had been a resident of Upper Deerfield Twp all his life. Kevin graduated from Bridgeton High School in 1976, then served 4 years in the Air Force. He retired from the Vineland Post Office in 2013 as a letter carrier. His passion in life was farming with his wife, sons, and grandchildren. Through his love for farming, he made many friends. Often found tinkering around the farm, he never missed an opportunity to sit and talk the day to day working of farm life. Those who knew him knew that he was always quick to stop what he was doing to lend a hand however he could. His personality and kindness lives on in his sons. He will be sadly missed, as the one so many people could call upon for a quick hand. He is survived by his wife, children, Kevin “Skeeter” Uhland, (Mandy) of PA and Kyle Uhland, (Kerry) of Upper Deerfield Township NJ. His sisters, Janice Grinevicius of FL, Patricial Hall (Jim) of Elmer and a brother Francis Uhland Jr (Joyce) of PA, Mother-in-law Mildred Brooks. Survived by grandchildren, Nancy Uhland, Warner Uhland, Cole Uhland, and Brady Uhland. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. Predeceased by sister, Nancy Vanaman, and brother David Uhland. A viewing will be held at Padgett Funeral Home, 1107 State Highway 77 Upper Deerfield Twp on Saturday, February 1, 2025 from 10:00 AM to 12 Noon with services to follow immediately afterward.
