Obituary of Diane Schoener

Diane Schoener, 75, of Franklinville passed away on Sunday, January 5, 2025 at her home. Diane was born in Bridgeton New Jersey and acquired a lot of friends throughout the decades. Diane started her career off in the US Government / forest service in Idaho where she trained in law enforcement working in Washington DC for several years before going to school for nursing. She then she had worked at Aveanna and Bayada as a home health care nurse for over 30 years. She had a very caring touch with children and adults with disadvantaged health. She loved the children that she cared for as her own. She would go that extra step, above and beyond her expectations as an employee to ensure comfort and give love to her clients. She was hard working woman who never took a break from work. Her clients came first no matter what her health or circumstance was even till the end until she could not work anymore. Diane was known as a very generous person always caring about other people's needs above her own no matter who they were. She had a big heart. She cared about other peoples well-being usually above her own. Her hobbies were cleaning, almost obsessive and no one could clean like her. Nobody could clean like her. She kept things very tidy always no matter where she was. If she saw something dirty or out of place she started cleaning and fixing it. She was very organized. Her famous saying was, “cleanliness is next to godliness”. Diane also loved gardening and shopping. Diane was always improving anything she came across. She would always go that extra step to make things as she would say “ very nice" . She has survived by: her son, William Jeffers, who will miss his mom dearly, no one could ever replace such a unique person; and William's half brother on his father's side, Rodney Hamb. William couldn't ask for a better mom. I don't believe anyone could. She did it on her own and always made sure even to the end that her son was well taken care of. Diane was also survived by; her sister, Lori Kay Smith Stuk. Diane had a very large family especially on her mom's side. She was preceded in death by; her mother, Juanita Ford Smith; and her husband Lt. Frank Schoener, retired from New Jersey State Police and US Navy who was her protector and thankful for his presence in her life. I never worried about her safety when Frank was around. Lovingly submitted by the family. Funeral services will be held at the PADGETT FUNERAL HOME, 1107 State Highway 77, Upper Deerfield Twp. on Saturday, January 11, 2025 at 4:30 PM. Friends will be received the the funeral home from 3:30 to 4:30 PM prior to the services. Interment will take place at Gloucester County Veterans Cemetery, 240 N Tuckahoe Rd, Williamstown, NJ 08094 on Monday, January 13, 2025 at 12 Noon.
