Obituary of Marline Woods

Marline Woods, 61, was born December 16, 1962, in Memphis, Tennessee, to the late Joella and Earnest Woods. Marline departed this life after a long battle with cancer at home with her family on December 9, 2024, at 1:39 am. Marline was born in Memphis but raised in Bridgeton New Jersey, she attended Bridgeton public schools. In Marline's spare time, she was an active Education and hospitality Director for The Woman's Christian Temperance Union of New Jersey until she fell ill. Marline's love for her family extended to all aspects of her daily life. Whether it was caring for children or helping take care of someone. Her love for her sisters and brothers was unmatched. Marline was truly all about family. She is survived by; her children, Rynaka Woods and Devonte Woods (Cece Chandler); the love of her life, Corey Powell; two sisters to cherish her memories, Annette and Jaqueline Woods; and two brothers Vandall (Mary) and Herman "Jean" Woods; five grandchildren, Shamere Collins, Shamore Collins, Kamora Collins, A'Nylah Woods, and Devonte Woods, Jr.; as well as a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins; her special cousin, Doreen Dean and many close and dear friends. Marline was predeceased by; her parents, Joella and Earnest Woods; two sisters, Gloria Woods and Earnestine Bullock; and three brothers, Isaiah "Man" Woods, Allen "Wayne" Woods, and Ronnie Woods. Marline was a hard worker and loved putting a smile on everyone's face. She was a member of the Elks Lodge in Bridgeton, and a long-time worker of the Country Inn Suites, in Millville. Marline Woods was truly a servant at heart. A day will not go by that she will not be tremendously missed, Marline will forever be in our hearts. Lovingly submitted, The Family Funeral services will be held on Saturday, December 21st at 11 AM at the Crusaders For Christ Evangelistic Center, 33 Reeves Rd., Bridgeton. Friends will be received at the church from 9 AM to 11 AM prior to the service. Interment will take place at Fordville Memorial Park, Fairfield Twp., following the service.
