Obituary of Diane Suchanoff

Diane Suchanoff, 88, of Elmer passed away suddenly at her home on Monday, November 18, 2024. Born in Ripley, West Virginia to the late Hiram Powers and Valeria Brotherton Powers, she had been the wife of the late John P. “Big John” Suchanoff. Diane relocated to Elmer in the 1950's and had been a resident ever since. She had worked as a payroll clerk for several companies in Bridgeton prior to raising her family. In her free time she volunteered to help several local charities, including the Rebekah Lodge Oddfellows Hall, the NJ Eye Bank for Children, and Pastor Eddie Sultonel Church's food bank for 14 years. She was like a family member to the Russian Orthodox Church in Vineland. In April of 1976 she was elected the President of the Salem County PTA. In her younger years, she enjoyed spending time listening to Country music at the Chicken Coop and White Water Rafting. She and her late husband enjoyed traveling all over the United States and places throughout the world, including Australia and New Zealand. She is survived by; her daughter, Pauletta Suchanoff; grandson, Giovanni Campana; sister, Rebecca Everly; and brother, David Powers. She was preceded in death by; her husband, John P. Suchanoff and her parents, Hiram and Valeria Powers. Funeral Services will be held at 12 NOON on Friday, December 13th at the PADGETT FUNERAL HOME, 1107 State Highway 77, Upper Deerfield Twp. Friends will we be received at the Funeral Home from 11 AM to 12 NOON prior to the services. Interment will take place at Siloam Cemetery in Vineland.
