Obituary of Katherine Jean Rieger

Katherine Jean Rieger, 71, of Millville passed away on Friday, December 6, 2024 at Inspira Medical Center in Vineland. Born in Bridgeton to the late Charles E. Rieger and Margaret Jenkins Rieger, she had been a resident of Millville for several years. Kathy had lived in Cumberland County until 1988, Salem County until 1995 and later Chester County, PA until moving back to Salem and Cumberland Counties in 1998. Kathy had been most recently employed by Atlantic City Electric until her retirement in 2015. Prior to that she had worked for Prudential Insurance Co. in Millville for 17 years. In her free time, she enjoyed going to the casino with her family, going to the beach, watching Lifetime and Hallmark movies along with her favorite show, The Walking Dead. Kathy was known for her spaghetti and her great love of cats. She is survived by; her son, Alec Rieger; her sister, Diane M. Dickinson; her grandson, Avery Rieger and many nieces, nephews and extended family members. She was preceded in death by; her parents; her brother, C. Kenneth Rieger, Sr. and her sister, Barbara Rieger. Funeral services will be held at the PADGETT FUNERAL HOME, 1107 State Highway 77, Upper Deerfield Twp. on Wednesday, December, 18th at 11 AM. Interment will be held at the Old Stone Church Cemetery in Fairfield Twp. A visitation will be held at the funeral home on Tuesday evening, December 17th from 6 PM to 8 PM and on Wednesday morning, December 18th from 10 AM to 11 AM prior to the services.
