Obituary of Patricia A Garrison

Please share a memory of Patricia to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Our loved one, Patricia Ann Garrison (Ridgeway), was chosen by God to enter into the Kingdom of Heaven on Tuesday, December 3, 2024. We were not ready to lose her but know that she is in a much better place. Patty was diagnosed with 4th stage lung cancer in August 2021. Since then she has fought hard to beat it, she enter into remission 2 years ago, but as hard as she fought, her body tired. She stands as a reminder of strength, perseverance, love and compassion. Though we will miss her immeasurably, we know that we will be reunited. Patty was born in Vineland, NJ on June 4, 1958. She was the daughter of Wilfred (Bill) and Katherine (Kay) Cobb. The family relocated to Bridgeton, NJ in 1966. Patty was involved in many activities, including being an energetic member of Bridgeton High School Flag Squad. She graduated from Bridgeton High School in 1976. She continued her education at Cumberland County College. She studied Business Management and Computer Technology. She earned A+ Certification, Net + Certification and others. She was on the Deans List and a member of Phi Theta Kappa Society. Patty’s occupational career spanned from working at Wheaton Industries as a computer operator, Dallas Airmotives as a computer operator and programmer and a network technician, Shimp Inc as a computer operator and accounting clerk and Vineland School District as a security guard. She especially loved and cared for the children she worked with letting them know that they were loved by God and her. Patty married the love of her life, Charles (Chas - Chick) Garrison IV on June 19, 1993. Not only did she become a wife that day, but a mother to Charles (Charlie) and Jason Garrison. Sadly, Chas passed in 2000. Patty loved her family and her dog, Callie. She enjoyed spending time with family especially enjoying the holidays. She enjoyed cooking and everyone anticipated her infamous mushroom casserole. She always had a love for gardening and was known for her green thumb. Above all, Patty loved the Lord. Her faith carried her through her life and led her to her eternal life where she was reunited with her husband and unborn child. Her favorite scripture comes from Proverbs 3:5-6 “Trust in the Lord with all of your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all ways submit to Him and he will make your path straight.” Patty is survived by her parents Bill and Kay Cobb, her sons Charlie (Crystal) and Jason, her grandchildren Angelique (Angel), Adriana, Jaydon, and Adalyn (Addie). She also leaves her siblings Karen (Jeff), Edward (Brenda) and Wilfred - Billy (Angela), nephews and nieces, Danny (Tara), Douglas (Felicia), Edward, Rebecca, and Deidre (Ryan), Sarah (Casey) and Ella. She will be sadly missed by her #1 cheerleader, advisor, and helper - her Aunt Carol, as well as many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends. Patty loved deeply and to know her was to love her. She leave us with a powerful testimony of Hope.
