Ethel G. Kandle, 90, of Fairfield Twp. and formerly of Pittsgrove Twp. passed away on Friday, November 29, 2024 at Samaritan Hospice in Voorhees. The youngest of eight children, she was on December 27, 1933 in Elmer to the late Joseph Garrison and Ella Simpkins Garrison, and had been the wife of the late Warren E. Kandle Jr. Warren and Ethel had been married for 65 years when he passed away. After his passing she moved to Fairfield Twp. where she had resided for the last seven years. Ethell and Warren owned and operated the family farm. Ethel also worked other jobs including Halco Mailing Service in Vineland for 20 years until her retirement in 2000. She was known for being a dedicated and hard worker. In her free time, she enjoyed collecting arrowheads and old milk and medicine bottles. She also enjoyed jigsaw puzzles, bird watching, old tv shows, trips to Lancaster and NASCAR races. She is survived by; her son, Dennis Kandle of Upper Deerfield Twp.; two daughters, Barbara Hanby (Harry) of Fairfield Twp. and Patricia McHenry (Michael) of Pittsgrove Twp.; four grandchildren, Ryan Hanby, Jason Hanby, Kevin McHenry and Kyle McHenry (Jennifer); a great-grandson, Maverick Hanby; and many nieces, nephews and extended family. She was preceded in death by; her parents, Joseph and Ella Garrison; her husband, Warren E. Kandle Jr.; her siblings, George Garrison, Henry Garrison, Carl Garrison, Reba Messer, Evelyn Exel, Katherine Williams and Grace Helms; and her sister-in-laws Lois Hannold and Betty Ford. Graveside services will be held at 11:30 AM on Thursday, December 5th at Olivet Cemetery in Pittsgrove Twp.
