Margaret “Peggy” Kline, 82 of Deerfield Twp. passed away on Wednesday, November 6, 2024 at the home of her daughter and son-in-law, Deborah and Joseph Mathis Sr., in Florida, where she had been residing after her recent illness.
Born in Bridgeton to the late Daney Davis and Lucinda Hayes Davis, she had been the wife of the late Robert A. Kline and Charles E. Merritt and had been a Deerfield Twp. resident since 1968. She had also lived in Newport and Bridgeton prior to that. Before her retirement Peggy had worked for Kimble Glass, Contes Glass, Kerr Glass and as a visiting Home Health Aide.
She is survived by; her daughters, Deborah Mathis (Joseph Sr.) and Karen Wolbert (Rusty) all of Florida; her sister, Doris Bonnano of Upper Deerfield Twp.; four grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her brothers, Kenneth Davis and Daney Davis; her first husband, Charles E. Merritt; her son, Charles E. Merritt Jr; and her second husband, Robert A. Kline.
