Alice M. Smith, 74, of Dover, DE formerly of Millville passed away on Sunday, November 3, 2024 at her home. Born in Vineland to the late James Smith and Alice Carpenter Smith, she was the fiance of Eugene D. Moore, Sr. Alice had been a resident of Dover, DE for the past 18 years and prior to that she had resided in Millville. Alice had been most recently employed by Easter Seals in Millville and in the 1960's and 70's she had been employed at the former Newcomb Hospital in Vineland in the dietary department. In her younger years, she enjoyed playing softball and riding her bike. She is survived by; her fiance, Eugene D. Moore of Dover, DE; her daughter, Kim Savage; her siblings, Lois Toler of Laurel Lake, Nancy Garrison of Pittsgrove; Mark Woodruff of Millville and Brian Woodruff (Rosa) of Millville and several half-brothers and half-sisters. She was preceded in death by her brother, Robert Smith. Funeral services will be held at the PADGETT FUNERAL HOME, 1107 State Highway 77, Upper Deerfield Twp. on Friday, November 8th at 11 AM. Interment will take place at Chestnut Grove Cemetery in Elmer. Friends will be received at the funeral home from 10 AM to 11 AM prior to the services.
