Obituary of Willie David Hinson

Willie David Hinson, 81, of Bridgeton, departed this life on Saturday, September 7, 2024 at his home. Willie was born on April 10, 1943 in Mount Gilead, NC to the late William Clifton Hinson and Odessa Stanback McGuine. After graduating high school in NC, Willie traveled and made his home in NJ. There he met and married Pauline Loatman. From this union, one son Michael Todd Hinson was born. Willie was a faithful servant of St. Phillips Missionary Baptist Church until his death. His past employment includes Murbeck Textile Company and as a worker out of local union #172. He was also employed by South State Inc. and Cumberland Masonry LLC. Willie leaves to cherish his memory; a daughter, Sheshonia Turner of GA; two sons, Michael Hinson Sr. (Sara) of VA and Mitchell Robinson of NC; seven grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; two sisters, Ivory Watkins of NC and Lela Harris (Leroy) of NC; three brothers, George McGuine (Demita) of NC, Clifton Linden (Gloria), Antwerp, Belgium and Gary Hinson of NC; three sisters-in-law, Clara McGuine of NC, Jeri Darrisaw of NJ and Myra Robinson (Leon) of NC; a godson, Osco Williams Jr.; a bonus sister, Evelyn Williams; and a host of friends and relatives. Funeral Services will be held at 11AM on Saturday, September 28th, at St. Phillips Missionary Baptist Church, 275 Richardson Ave, Bridgeton, NJ. Friends will be received at the church from 9 AM to 11 AM prior to the services. Interment will take place at Fernwood Memorial Park in Hopewell Twp. following the services.
