Marlene Kay Watson-Berry, 77, of Altavista, VA, passed away on August 14, 2024, at Centra Lynchburg General Hospital in Lynchburg, Virginia. Marlene was born on October, 21, 1946 to the late Curtis N. Watson and Martha K. Karisko Watson. She had resided in Virginia since 2016 and prior to that she had been a resident in Stow Creek and Bridgeton. Marlene's greatest joy was her family, whom she loved more than anything. She loved spending quality time with her family. She is survived by; her daughter, Tonia Watson; daughter-in-law, CathyJo Dragotta Watson; grandchildren, Brett Watson, Dean Watson Jr., Dejzha Watson, Ayla Rivas, and Jordan Watson; and great-grandchildren, Breia Knight, Paisley Watson, Ahvion Holland, Daijon Holland, Rhiana Dews, Jaymie Rivera, MariaElena Rivera, Noah Watson, Xochitl Rivera, and Zoey Ford. She was preceded in death by; her parents, Curtis Watson and Martha Karisko; and her son, Dean Watson Sr. Funeral services will be held at the PADGETT FUNERAL HOME, 1107 State Hwy 77, Upper Deerfield Twp., on Tuesday, August 27, 2024 at 12 NOON. Friends will be received at the funeral home from 11 AM to 12 NOON prior to the service. Interment will take place at Laurel Lawn Cemetery, 170 Old Deerfield Pike following the service.
