I met Ranae when I was 13 and befriended my "sister from another mister", Diane. Ranae was brave enough to allow me to spend nights at her home. She laughed with us and at us. She loved me and my children ❤️ I moved away and haven't seen Ranae in a few years and Diane said that even in sickness, she still remembered and asked about me. That means the world to me. She was always so sweet to me. I will miss her. I hope that she will keep my mama company and Tracy's mama until we all meet up again, one sweet day. I love you Diane ❤️

Q: How did you meet Ranae?
A: I became friends with Miss Ranae just a few months ago! From our first conversation to our very last, she was a little beautiful soul! She was the most kindest person I have ever known. She was my mother roommate and made sure that nobody did any harm to her. She would often sit and talk to my mom for hours , or just sit watching Me Tv together. I always looked forward to my visit and snack time with her and her beautiful daughter Diane! So many stories were told, laughter and giggles were heard coming from there room! She loved peanut butter cookies but I think I enjoyed bringing them to her more than she liked eating them! She was a little angel here on earth, but God knew she needed her wings! I miss her so much and I am so grateful I got to meet a real life angel!

I am so sorry to read of Ms.Ranae's passing. My Mom {Faye Smith ) loved her and enjoyed spending time with her..I was her brother Billy's age and went all through elementary school with him. Grant and Billy let me play soldier with them. I was always the nurse and got to give them holly prickly needles to heal them . Ms. Ranae was the only babysitter.I can remember having.. I remember teasing her when she came to sit with Mr. Jack. When Diane was grown I remember her coming into the Rite Aid with her Mom. They always stopped and talked a bit.She was a very kind hearted lady .Diane I hope your happy memories of your Mom help you find brighter tomorrows. God bless you all Diane Smith-Griebau

Renee was a very unique person who was always herself. What you saw was what you got! I loved the times we spent together and I will never forget her. She was light in the darkness, a smile on a sunny day and her humor was infectious. Until we meet again.love you forever!
