Brenda L. Wood, 67, of Lower Alloways Creek Twp. passed away on Tuesday, June 25, 2024 at Cooper University Hospital in Camden. Born in Salem to the late James Rich and Bonnie B. Caldwell Rich, she was the wife of Woody Wood. Brenda grew up in Alloway Twp. and had been a resident of Lower Alloways Creek Twp. for the last 11 years, prior to that she resided in Carney's Point for 30 years. Brenda had owned and operated her own interior painting business, B&W Painting for over 30 years. Brenda was a devoted member of Tri-County Lighthouse Baptist Church in Upper Deerfield Twp. She often cooked for church events and for the elderly of the community. In her free time, she enjoyed building Street Rods with her husband Woody and spending time with her friends and family. Brenda loved her Fur babies, and was passionate about helping animals and often donated to the Salem County Humane Society. Brenda was a truly humble soul with a huge heart and open arms to help any in need. She was a caretaker to all and will be greatly missed. She is survived by; her loving husband, Woody of Lower Alloways Creek Twp.; her step-children, Christopher Wood of Baltimore MD and Michelle Woolley (Tony) of Morganton, NC; her sister, Gale Steelman (Lou) of Lower Alloways Creek Twp.; her best friend and cousin, Arlene Girtain; seven grandchildren; 2 nephews; 3 great-grandchildren; two great nephews and a great niece. She was predeceased by; her parents, James and Bonnie Rich; her step-children, Sheryl Fernandez and John Wood; and her siblings, Donnie Caldwell, Judy Nielson, Wayne Rich, Roger Rich, and Pamela Girtain, and a niece. A Memorial Service will be held 11AM on Saturday, July 13th at Tri-County Lighthouse Baptist Church, 149 Deerfield Dr., Upper Deerfield Twp. Friends will be received at the church from 10AM to 11AM prior to the services. In lieu of flowers donations can be made in Brenda's memory to Salem County Humane Society.
