Obituary of Joseph Fox

F. Joseph Fox, Jr. of Hopewell Township, died on Monday, March 11th, 2013 in South Carolina. Born in Bridgeton on August 17th, 1923 to the late Frank J. Fox and Grace Rae Smith Fox, he was the husband of the late Muriel "Merle" H. Horner Fox. He had lived in Hopewell Township since 1988 and prior to that he had resided in Spring Hope, N.C. for nine years. Before his retirement in 1979, Mr. Fox had been employed as purchasing agent for Owens-Illinois Glass Company in Bridgeton. He was a veteran of the United States Army who served his country during World War II. He had been a member of the Sojourner's Roll Club. Surviving are two sons, Norman B. Fox of Edisto Beach, SC and Russell A. Fox of Columbia, SC; a sister, MaryLou Gayfield of Merrit Island, FL and a Brother-In-Law, Gary Simmerman of Hopewell Township. Funeral services were held on Sunday, March 17th at the PADGETT FUNERAL HOME, Upper Deerfield Township. Interment took place in Deerfield Methodist Cemetery in Upper Deerfield Township.
