Tricia Miller, 57, of Bridgeton NJ, passed away at Inspira Medical Center in Vineland, surrounded by her loved ones on May 20th, 2024 after a short battle with cancer. A beloved mother, grandmother, wife, sister, aunt, cousin, and friend to many. A woman who always had a comforting word and a warm embrace for anyone and everyone. Tricia was born in November of 1966 at Bridgeton Hospital to the late, Robert and Louise Miller. She was one of nine children, one of three girls and six boys. Growing up, Tricia was known as the mother hen, something that rang true throughout her whole life. She would often volunteer to help take care of her younger siblings and family members. She loved growing up on Vine Street and sledding down Hampton Hill with her siblings. Tricia graduated from Bridgeton High School in 1986. She was a member of the high school’s marching band as a standout baton twirler. She enjoyed performing in multiple parades throughout the city. After high school, Tricia was employed at Ames as a payroll clerk. In pursuit of better opportunities for her young family, Tricia applied and became a communications operator for South Woods State Prison. Never one to be still, she also worked seasonally at Forman Mills in addition to her full-time job. Co-workers have described Tricia as a woman who always had a smile on her face and always found a way to make your day a bit brighter. Tricia met the love of her life, Donald Woodward, more affectionately known as, Donny in September of 1993. The two of them met while playing shuffleboard at the Moose club. The two would later become engaged and spend 30 wonderful years together. They enjoyed going crabbing on the boat and were always in pursuit of a sale trying to hunt down the best bargain deals. They loved going into the pool and barbecuing outside with her homemade burgers. Tricia has two wonderful daughters that she loved very much, Amanda Neher (Rogers) and Megan Miller. Tricia’s daughters have many fond memories with her including, their trips to Disney World and yearly vacations to Pittsburg, PA with their extended family. They had many fond memories, especially the Shania Twain concert and her daughters can still hear her singing and chanting “Let’s go girls”. Her daughters loved going on day trips with their mom whether it was down the shore or just driving around. She had a way of making everything into an adventure and just genuinely a good time. Though Tricia loved being a mother, her favorite role was that of a grandmom. She treasured her time with her grandkids and loved being their Gram. Tricia loved spending her retirement years as the grandkid’s room grandmom at school. She was their biggest fan as she attended as many cheerleading, softball, and soccer games as she could. She also enjoyed watching The Grinch with her youngest granddaughter and snuggling up with her newest grandson. Tricia had a soft spot for her beloved dog, Rusty. She would often be heard telling people that he was her best friend and her comfort whenever any big thunderstorms were rolling in. She also loved Koda, who would always come up and give her a giant kiss whenever she was in the yard. Everyone who knew Tricia knows how much she loved her family first and foremost, and how much she also loved the Hallmark channel, Disney World, getting her hair done, amusement parks, everything Christmas, the Wizard of Oz, and just enjoying life.
