Gary W. Roller, 83, of Fairton passed away on Friday, March 15, 2024 at Inspira Medical Center in Vineland. He was the son of the late Clarence Roller and Edna (nee Noss) Roller. Gary was born in Bridgeton and was the husband of the late Elynora (nee Watson) Roller who passed away in 2004. He attended Fairton Public School and graduated from Bridgeton High School in 1959. Gary was a veteran and served his country in the United States Army. After a long career as a pressman, Gary retired from South Woods State Prison in 2017 where he was a teacher in the Print Shop. Prior to the that, he worked at George T. Burt Company in Fairton, Cowan Printing in Bridgeton and International Reading Association in Newark, DE. Gary had several hobbies through the years, including electronics, woodworking, photography and tinkering on his iPad; but his greatest love was music. As a young man, he took accordion lessons and learned piano. In later years, he greatly enjoyed playing his keyboard and creating his own arrangements of familiar songs. He is survived by; his daughter, Pamela Lashley of Fairton; his brother, Wayne Roller of Somerset, KY; sisters-in-law, Diana Roller of Bridgeton, Linda Roller of Somerset, KY, Doris Ripple of Carmel, IN, Victoria Fiorani of Winston-Salem, NC, Paula Maslanik of Fairton; brothers-in-law, Thomas Watson, Jr. of Fairton, John Fiorani of Winston-Salem, NC; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his wife and parents, he was predeceased; by his brother, Alan Roller; father-in-law, Thomas Watson, Sr.; mother-in-law, Doris Watson; brother-in-law, John (Jack) Ripple, Sr.; and nephews, John Ripple, Jr. and Thomas Watson, III. A memorial service will be held at the PADGETT FUNERAL HOME, 1107 State Highway 77, Upper Deerfield Twp. on Thursday, March 28th at 7 PM. Friends will be received at the Funeral Home from 6 PM to 7 PM prior to the service. Pastor Brad Magnus from Maranatha Baptist Church in Millville, will lead a brief prayer service at 7 PM. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that a donation be made to your favorite charity in Gary's name. Inurnment will be held privately at the convenience of the family.
