Obituary of Ruth A. Sutton

Ruth A. Sutton, 77, of Fairton passed away on Wednesday, February 21, 2024 at Inspira Medical Center in Vineland. The daughter of the late Jesse Ford and Anna Biddle Ford, she was born in Bridgeton and was the wife of the late Dennis I. Sutton. She had been a resident of Fairton for 56 years and had lived in Bridgeton prior to that. Before her retirement, Ruth had been employed at the Boscov’s Department Store in Vineland in both the Men’s Department and the Cosmetics Department. She is survived by her daughter, Monica A. Gregg of Fairton; two grandsons, Cory VanMeter and Jeffrey VanMeter, Jr.; a great-grandson, Dominic Dayoc; six sisters, Mary Lou Howell of CA, Harriet Dosio of WI, Christine Blair of Leesburg, Beverly Ford of WI, Sharon Testerman of VA, Bertha Swidersky of Millville and her close friend, Darryl Gould. In addition to her parents and her husband Dennis, she was predeceased by her infant son, Dennis I. Sutton, Jr. and her siblings, Jesse Ford, Florence Ford and Linda Gaskill. Services will be private and at the convenience of the family.
