Obituary of Charles William Renner

Charles W. Renner, 76, of Millville, NJ, passed away on January 3, 2024. He was born in Newport, TN and was the son of the late Nile and Gladys (Francis) Renner. Charles graduated from Cocke County High School in 1967 and then served for the USMC in the 1st Marine division in Vietnam. He also served in the Army National Guard in NJ, NC, and TN. Charles later worked for the Millville Housing Authority for 13 years before retiring. In his spare time he liked to build and collect model cars, listening to his country music, as well as spending time with his beloved dog, Chloe. He enjoyed watching tv and was a huge fan of football and baseball. His favorite teams were the EAGLES, Tennessee Vols and Phillies. He is survived by; his wife, Elayne Renner; brother, Steve Renner (Evelyn); sister, Janice Smith; adopted daughters, Cheryl Robinson-Green and Brenda Johnson; sister in laws, Betty Edwards, Barbara Byers, Linda Griffith, and Brenda Buller; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, grandchildren, great grandchildren and many friends. He was predeceased by; his parents, and son Bobby Renner. A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, January 17, 2024 at the PADGETT FUNERAL HOME, 1107 Hwy 77, Upper Deerfield Twp at 2PM. Friends will be received at the funeral home from 1PM to 2PM prior to the service.
