Obituary of Thomas F. Tress Jr.

Thomas Tress Jr, 66, passed away peacefully on December 8,2023 after a four year battle of cancer at Inspira Hospital in Vineland, NJ. Tom, also known as Butch by family, was born on August 3, 1957 in Millville, NJ. He graduated in 1976 from Bridgeton High School and served in the US Navy for two years. He was a proud veteran and loved his country. His last place of employment was Modern Plastic Techniques as a forklift operator. He was an avid comic book reader and loved Marvel and DC superheroes. He also loved spending time with his family and friends. Mr. Tress is survived by his mom, Helen; significant other, Lisa Daly; daughter, Nikole (Walter); son, Tommy (Kelley); brother, William (Micheala); brother, Ken; sister, Helen (Geoff); and several nephews and nieces. He is predeceased by his father, Thomas and his brother, David. A Celebration of Life will be held on December 30th, Saturday at Deerfield United Methodist Church, 1557 NJ-77, Deerfield 08313. Visitation is 2pm and service is at 3pm with a luncheon to follow in the fellowship hall. Donations can be made to the American Cancer Society in honor of Tom.
