Ruth Wilson-Comly, age 92, of Cedarville died Thursday evening, February 28, 2013 at home under the care of Hospice. The daughter of the late Earl Champion and Anna Griner Champion, she was born in Bridgeton on September 30, 1920. She was predeceased by her first husband, Ralph Wilson and her second husband Vernon Comly. A resident of Cedarville for the past six years, she had previously resided in Fairton, Gainesville, FL and Carney's Point. She was a member of the Dividing Creek Baptist Church and for 18 years had served as a volunteer at Bridgeton Hospital. Surviving are a son, Herb Wilson of Rockingham, NC; five daughters, Barbara Hager of Fairton, Betty Flanigan of Cedarville with whom she resided, Doris Bowman of Spring City TN, Diane Campbell of Bridgeton and Suzanne Watkins of Carney's Point; 17 grandchildren, 36 great-grandchildren, 3 great-great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her three brothers, Carlton R. Champion, Rev. Francis E. Champion and Earl T. Champion. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, March 6th at 11 AM at the Dividing Creek Baptist Church. Friends will be received at the church from 10 to 11 AM prior to the services. Burial will take place at Old Stone Church Cemetery in Fairfield Township. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that contributions in Ruth's memory be made to the Dividing Creek Baptist Church, PO Box 98, Dividing Creek, NJ 08315.
