Obituary of Gwendolyn McGriff

Gwendolyn McGriff, 68, of Bridgeton NJ, passed away on November 2, 2023 in Vineland NJ after a brief battle with lung cancer. She was born on March 22, 1955, in Bridgeton, NJ to the late Roosevelt & Thelma McGriff Sr. Gwen was a beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister and friend. Gwen gave her life to the Lord on October 2, 2023. Gwen leaves to cherish her memories, her children, Adrian (Vashti) McGriff of Deerfield NJ, Antwon McGriff of Bridgeton NJ, Dequan McGriff of Bridgeton NJ, Kason (Lafayette) McGriff of St. Cloud Fl, and De’Janae McGriff of Bridgeton NJ. Her siblings Ruthie Gould of Bridgeton NJ, Lloyd Pritchett of Millville NJ, Janet Caldwell of Fairton NJ, Linda McGriff of Bridgeton NJ & Bruce McGriff of Atlantic City NJ, her best friend of 60 years Jacquelyn Bard and close friend Valerie Jamison. Gwen was cherished by her 20 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren, and a host of nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her sister Gloria Pritchett and brothers Richard & Roosevelt McGriff Jr. Gwen attended Bridgeton High School and later pursued a career as a Home Health Aid. She dedicated herself to caring for others and making a positive impact on their lives. Outside of her career, she occasionally enjoyed visiting the AC Casinos with her sister Ruthie. Gwen enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. She found joy in their company and cherished every moment. In memory of Gwen, her loved ones will hold her close in their hearts, cherishing the memories they shared. She will be deeply missed by all who knew & loved her. A visitation will be held at the PADGETT FUNERAL HOME, 1107 State Highway 77, Upper Deerfield Twp., on Friday November, 10th from 10AM to 11AM.
