Willa Jean Watson July 10, 1934-January 13, 2021 Willa Jean Watson, 86, formerly of Elmer, NJ, passed away peacefully on January 13, 2021 in Yorktown, VA. Willa was the youngest of ten children. She grew up in Cuzzie, West Virginia (her mother was postmistress). Work took her to Bridgeton, NJ and later to Elmer, NJ. In 2010, she moved to Yorktown, VA to enjoy time with her daughter’s family. She retired from Wheaton Glass Factory. Another place she enjoyed working for was for Wodlinger grocery store in Elmer, NJ. She enjoyed being with family, talking to people, helping people, sand castles, craft shows and Quilt guild shows and tell. She is survived by; her daughter, Kathryn A DeCarlo; son-in-law, Thomas R DeCarlo, III; granddaughter, Jennifer L DeCarlo; and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents Amon and Sabra Dial; her husband, Clarence Watson; and nine siblings. A memorial service will be held at 11AM on Saturday, October 7th at the PADGETT FUNERAL HOME, 1107 STATE HIGHWAY 77, UPPER DEERFIELD TWP, NJ 08302. Friends will be received at the funeral home from 10:30AM to 11AM prior to the services. Written condolences can be sent to the family through the funeral home website, www.padgettfuneralhomes.com.
