I was recently made aware of the death of Gerard. I was aware of his health battle and remember his courage both in his life and towards the end. I will miss his visits to Cape May National G.C where his historic fight for integrity and honesty are well remembered.
We were trapped in a contract with an unscrupulous solar contractor who was harming a number of family businesses across South Jersey. With a handshake Gerard made everyone whole.
A man's man of great conviction, a wonderful sense of humor and multitalented, his family continues to carry his traits into the next generation. I am so sorry for all of our loss. Bless you, Bob Mullock

What can I say that many others have not already - But! here I go.
Brother Gerard Reilly - G-man as I called him - was one heck of a man - humanitarian - family man - educator - Brother Mason and friend.
He will be missed by many.
I was introduced to him about 10 years ago at F&D. I was doing demolition and Systems Electric was doing electric and solar installation.
We hit it off right away. We both loved the sea = had the same moral values and the belief one should work hard and smart for what they received and to always give back to those in need when you can.
He and his family reminded me so much of my own - although we grew up in totally different environments. It is amazing how similar individuals can be.
Once introduced to his family and friends it was hard not to "hang around" in the shop on the weekends and holidays/special occasions.
Donna and sons are just as amazing - their teamwork is exemplary - one could expect nothing less. Events were always a blast.
Not all my adventures with G-man went smoothly. When we went out for his yearly tuna fishing trip, the seas got so rough that we turned back after 5 hours of little head way - but that was not before Gerard happened to open the cabin door just as a large wave hit totally drenching him!
G-man and crew were always up for new adventures and expanding his business interests, most of all for God, family and Country was paramount - thusly when he asked I did not hesitate to recommend him to join our great Fraternity. Upon becoming a member Gerard again showed his generosity by helping even more members of the community and Lodges.
Farewell My Brother

Gerard was genuine. If you were family, you knew it. He cared deeply for his family. Always willing to help in any way he could. If you knew him, you knew he could do just about anything. He did things at our house because he wanted to help us out. We had a hard time giving him anything in return. We were at Donna and Gerard’s wedding. Such a happy occasion! We have been to countless picnics and parties at their beautiful home. Always a great time with lots of food, drinks, and fun! I am so happy we got to see him, a month or so ago, at a family “crab party.” He will be missed. ❤️

What can be said about a man who was bigger than lifeiself. Gerard and I became good friends and Brothers is short form. We talked many hours drinking Jameson and telling stories about our times working around the water. He a Merchant Marine , me working large Navy ships. We talked for hours . I was the better for the times we had.
I loved the man, we always looked each other in the eye and shook hands as we departed on our own lives.
LOOK MAN! as he said with his finger sticking up. And you better listen, most times he was right, about everything.
WhiskeyJerry , I wish we only had more time. You have made me a better man.
My Beloved friend.
