I am Sandy, one of Sal’s first cousins. One of my fondest memories of Sal was the summer he spent with my mom, my dad, my brother and me.
Sal had been sick, so his mom, my Aunt Angie, sent him to our house to “rest.” My mom got stung by a wasp and was elevating her foot because it was swollen. Sal and I decided to help her by cleaning. We used her dust mop to clean the carpet. She was less than thrilled when she realized we had transferred the dust from the floor to the carpets!
Sal and I thought it was hilarious! My mom was not as amused!
