Obituary of John A. Burt, Jr.

John A. “Jackie” Burt, Jr., 63, of Fairton passed away unexpectedly at home on Thursday, August 31, 2023. The son of Dora Egbert Burt and the late John A. Burt, Sr. he was born in Millville and had been a lifetime Fairton resident. A union mason by trade, Jackie was also an experienced cook having worked in several establishments in this area and at the Jersey Shore including the Cohanzick Country Club, Fairfield Inn and the Mauricetown Gun Club. An avid vegetable gardener, he also was a fan of the San Francisco 49’rs football team. In addition to his mother, Dora, he is survived by a daughter, Amanda Burt of Pittsgrove; a brother, Steven Burt of Pittsgrove; a sister, Diane Burt of Fairton and several nieces and nephews along with his special great niece Peyton Kwasnicki. He was predeceased by his sister, Barbara Klenk and his brother, Daniel Burt. A visitation will be held at the PADGETT FUNERAL HOME, 1107 State Highway 77, Upper Deerfield Township on Thursday afternoon, September 7th from 5:00 to 7:00 PM. Interment will be private at the convenience of the family.
