Obituary of Paul C. Lamanteer

Paul C. Lamanteer, 91, of Hopewell Township passed away on Friday August 25, 2023 at Inspira Medical Center in Vineland. The husband of Eleanor Kalfut Lamanteer, he was born in Bridgeton and was the son of the late Charles Lamanteer and Mary Suppa Lamanteer. He had been a Hopewell Township resident since 1992 and had resided in Upper Deerfield Township prior to that. Before his retirement in 1990, Paul had been employed with the Kimble Glass Company in Vineland for 25 years. In addition he had worked at the Owens-Illinois Glass Company in Bridgeton before his employment with Kimble Glass. He was a Veteran of the Korean Conflict serving his Country in the United States Marine Corps as a Combat Veteran. He was a member of the Parish of the Holy Cross, Immaculate Conception Church, the Men of Malvern, the U.S. Coast Guard Auxiliary and the Combat Veterans of the Korean Conflict. He was also an avid gardener. In addition to his wife, Eleanor, he is survived by his daughter, Denise Lamanteer of Hopewell Township; two brothers, Anthony Lamanteer of Upper Deerfield Township and William Lamanteer of Millville; four sisters, Rose Marie Beck of California, Alice Headley of Pennsville, Lucy Duffield of Millville and Theresa Ann Gilbert of Millville. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his siblings, Bruno Lamanteer, John Lamanteer and Christine Makos. Funeral services will be held at the PADGETT FUNERAL HOME, 1107 State Highway 77, Upper Deerfield Township on Thursday, August 31st at 11:00 AM. Friends will be received at the funeral home from 10:00 to 11:00 AM prior to the services. Interment will take place at Overlook Cemetery in Bridgeton.
