Obituary of Charles M. Mann

Charles Rock Mann Sr. December 16,1956 - July 15, 2023 Charles Mann, Sr., age 67, was born on December 16, 1956 in Bridgeton New Jersey to the late Reverend Eddie Mae Beck and father is unknown. He passed away on Saturday, July 15, 2023 at his home in Millville, New Jersey. Charles, known by various nicknames Hippie, Soul Child, Pudding or Rock to his family and friends grew up in Bridgeton , New Jersey. He received his early education in the public schools of New Jersey and attended Cumberland Regional High School in Bridgeton , New Jersey. He worked various jobs, working with his hand, crafting many common household ideas, like fire pits, tabletops and furniture until his health began to fail. Pudding was all about family. He was a very jovial person who loved his children and fathered children who were not his own. He loved his Indian heritage affectionately, collecting any artifacts he could find. He enjoyed listening to music collecting snakes and fishing whenever he could. He was an avid sports fan and on any given Sunday you can count on him to be watching a good game or fight. His favorite pass time was getting all his children in one room sharing tales of his past, he very much so enjoyed being a grandfather to so many whom PopPop loved. He made sure he put all his children in phone rotation every week just to say, “Daddy loves you, and would end every call with One”. He will be missed by all who knew him. He was preceded in death by his mother, Eddie Mae Beck, sister Teresa K. Mann, son Kareem Mann, Dwayne Walker Sr.,and daughter DeeDee Mann. Charles leaves to cherish his memory, his children , Marcus Mann, Charles Man Jr., Zainey Mann, Jeremy Mann, Aaron Mann,Damien Mann, Diana Mann, Carmacita Mann, Larita Mann, Tamika Cunningham, Victoria Cunningham, and Jackie Jones;,sibling George Beck;, many grandchildren, great grandchildren;, nieces and nephews(Patrice Mann and William Mann) and a host of great nieces, great nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends. Lovingly submitted by the family. Funeral Services will be held at 11 AM at the PADGETT FUNERAL HOME, 1107 State Highway 77, Upper Deerfield Twp., on Friday, July 28th. Friends will be received at the Funeral Home from 9 AM to 11 AM prior to the services. Interment will take place at Overlook Cemetery, 100 Overlook Drive, Bridgeton, NJ, 08302.
