Obituary of Ida L. Lunghofer

Born in Fallentimber, PA, on July 2, 1927 she was the daughter of the late William C. Rickard and Viola Hill Rickard and the wife of Paul Lunghofer. Ida had moved to Indiana 22 years ago with her husband and spent summers there and in Bridgeton and spent the winter months in Texas. She was here in August for the wedding of her grandson, Robert. Mrs. Lunghofer had formerly been employed with the Owens Illinois Glass Co. and Murbecks both in Bridgeton. She was active in her church both in Indiana and Texas and lived to please the Lord. She enjoyed cooking and traveling to Mass. with her daughter Candy and her "two adopted daughters", Lynda and Wendy. In both Indiana and Texas she volunteered her time tutoring small children in reading. A mother to many, she had friends all over the country and was generous to everyone with her smiles and her time. In addition to her husband Paul, she is survived by her daughter, Candy K. Rain (Robert) of Hopewell Twp.; her grandson, Robert Rain (Tami) of Vineland, her husband Paul's children, Paulette (Eugene), Melissa who predeceased her (Thomas) and Lisa (Kyle); 15 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her first husband, Pat Craig and six brothers and sisters. Funeral services will be held on Monday, February 11th at 11 AM at First Methodist Church, 266 East Commerce Street, Bridgeton. Friends will be received at the church from 10 to 11 AM prior to the services. Interment will take place at Fernwood Memorial Park in Hopewell Twp.
