Sara V. Cain, 62 of Millville, NJ, passed away on Wednesday, May 3, 2023 at Cooper University Hospital in Camden. Sara was born in Bridgeton, to the late Marion Wescott and Clarence Cain. Sara resided in Millville for the past four years and prior to that she was a long time resident of Bridgeton. Sara worked for the Bridgeton Public School System as a substitute teacher for over 10 years and most recently was the Librarian at the Broad Street School. She also worked at the Walmart in Upper Deerfield for over 10 years until her retirement in 2020. Sara volunteered with the Bridgeton Emergency Ambulance Association as an EMT for over 10 years and was affiliated with the office of Emergency Management of Bridgeton. Sara was an AVID Philadelphia Eagles fan. She enjoyed getting up early on the weekends to go to the flea market, Goodwill, yard sales with her daughter, and enjoyed going on her outings with her sister Sylvia. She enjoyed playing her farming games on Facebook and candy crush. Her favorite channel to watch on TV was the “ID Channel” and she also loved the show “Leave it to Beaver”. She also loved to go to McDonald's to get her favorite breakfast sandwich, Sausage Egg and Cheese on a fresh bagel and a sweet tea with “lite ice”. Sara had the role of being Santa every year for Christmas for the children in the family. She enjoyed her “Me Time” but most of all, she loved going out to eat with her family and spending the holidays with them. Left to cherish her memory are; her four children, Oscar Steven Gould Jr. of Georgia, Vivian Roldan (Tyrell Imes) of Millville,(Denise Williams) of Bridgeton, and Ramon A. Cruz Jr. of Bridgeton; 10 grandchildren, Jahmia Cruz, Jaiden Miller, Ramon Cruz III, Ja'Niya Cruz, Ranayisha Cruz, Chafsiya White, Ronisha McFarland (Traci), Ronay Watson, Julissa Roldan, and Richard Roldan Jr.; two great-grandchildren, Heaven McFarland, and Alyssa McFarland; seven siblings, Richard Cain of Texas, Eric Cain of Florida, Joe Cain of New Jersey, Phillip Cain of New Jersey, Sylvia D'arrigo of NJ, John Schaffer of New Jersey, and Lily Cain of Ohio; two god children, Veronica Diaz and Marcos Garcia and a host of nieces, nephew and cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents Clarence Cain and Marion Schaffer; one granddaughter, Jai'Yauna Cruz; and three siblings, Patricia Messick, Brian Cain, and Lila Bocelli. Funeral services will be held at the PADGETT FUNERAL HOME, 1107 State Highway 77, Upper Deerfield Twp., on Thursday, May 11th at 11 AM. Friends will be received at the funeral home from 9 AM to 11AM prior to the services. Interment will take place at Laurel Lawn Cemetery in Upper Deerfield Twp. following the services.
