Jean A. Payne, 89, of Upper Deerfield Township passed away on Thursday, April 13, 2023 at Genesis-Millville Center in Millville.
Born in Camden, she was the daughter of the late William B. Davies and Stella Scull Davies and the wife of the late Manuel W. Payne.
Before her retirement, Jean had been employed as an aide at the Seabrook Elementary Schools for 33 years and had also been employed with former Owens-Illinois Glass Company in Bridgeton for 10 years.
She deeply loved her family and her cats.
Surviving are her two sons, M. Brad Payne of Upper Deerfield Township and Ronald M. Payne (Janet) of Fairfield Township; a granddaughter, Alexi N. Payne and a step grandson, Michael DelMonte, Jr. She was predeceased by her two sisters, Virginia Gappa and Ann Meyers.
Funeral services will be held at the PADGETT FUNERAL HOME, 1107 State Highway 77, Upper Deerfield Township on Tuesday, April 18th at 11:00 AM. Friends will be received from 10:00 to 11:00 AM prior to the services. Interment will take place at Overlook Cemetery in Bridgeton.
