Obituary of Thomas M. Moore

Thomas Matticks Moore of Upper Deerfield Township, NJ, passed away on March 16, 2023. He was 84 years old and born November 12, 1938 in Millville, NJ. He was the son of the late William A. Moore and Sara Moore. Tom grew up in Millville and was a graduate of Millville Sr. High School with the class of 1956. After graduating, he served in the U.S. Navy. In 1961 he married his wife, Theresa, and they were married for 61 years. Shortly after their marriage, they moved to Orlando, FL where they raised a family together and then moved back to New Jersey in 1990. Formerly employed as a mechanic, he retired from Atlantic County Special Services in 2001. He was a devoted Christian and family man. It seemed like he was always building something and had many hobbies, including drawing and weightlifting. He religiously worked out all of his life, up until the day before his passing. He also loved seeing how close he could get to animals in nature, camping, survival skills, hiking and fishing. He is survived by his wife Theresa Moore (Antonelli), sister Gwendolyn Sorantino (Moore) and her husband Anthony Sorantino, daughter Deborah Brown (Moore) and her husband James Brown, son Thomas W Moore and his wife Shirley Moore (Villafane), granddaughter Heather Varner (Brown) and her husband Edward Keith Varner Jr, grandson Conner Moore, Great-Granddaughter Adelaide Varner, and many nieces, nephews and friends.
