Andrew W. Baker, 34, of Philadelphia, PA and formerly of Hopewell Twp., NJ, passed away on Monday, March 6, 2023 at his home. Andrew was born in Vineland to Jerold W. Baker and Nancy Stretch Baker and was a graduate of Cumberland Regional High School Class of 2007. He was also a 2007 graduate of the Cumberland County Technical Education Center Welding program where he earned a place in the National Technical Honor Society and a Skills USA award. He was certified in the American Welding Society Level 1 in 2008. Andrew previously worked at a machine shop before finding his passion in woodworking through a mentorship with Jack Larimore. He was employed by Papajohn woodworking Inc. of Philadelphia,PA for the last several years. Andrew was very proud of his work which showed through his attention to detail and his creativeness. In his free time, Andrew enjoyed many hobbies including; camping, canoeing, rock climbing, cooking, bicycling, weight lifting and music. His family described him as an extremely creative person with a great love for the arts. Andrew also enjoyed being in nature any chance he could. He was always generous with his time and gave of it freely to help people in need. He will be sorely missed by those who knew him. He is survived by his parents, Jerold and Nancy Baker of Hopewell Twp; his sister Sarah Timm and her husband Stephen of Hopewell Twp.; and niece Mabel, of which he adored. He is also survived by his aunts and uncles David Stretch (Lisa), Peggy Stretch (Alan), Marguerite Lipps (Carl), Kirsten Strand and Berta Radcliffe (Dennis), beloved cousins and many friends. He was preceded in death by ; paternal grandparents, Arthur and Nancy Baker, his maternal grandparents, Russell and Mary Stretch, his uncle Adam Stretch and cousin Carl Lipps.
