Obituary of Robert W. Allen, Sr.

Robert W. Allen Sr., 70, of Bridgeton NJ, passed away on Monday, February 6th, 2023. Born to the late James H. Allen Sr. and Ruth Jamison Allen, Robert was a resident of Cumberland County all of his life. Robert was in the US Army and earned a National Defense Service Medal. He was also an Executive Chef during the time he served. Robert enjoyed fishing, playing pool, playing poker, hunting, and cooking. He enjoyed working on cars and was a jack of all trades. He leaves to cherish his memory, his 2 children; Janeen Cochran (Bruce) of Bridgeton and Jamar Doyle of Bridgeton, his siblings; Joyce Baker (David) of NJ, Valice Logan of NJ, and Denise Wilson of NJ, 14 grandchildren, seven great grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, three sons; Robert Allen Jr., Travis Allen and Damon Allen, siblings; James Allen Jr., Adlai Allen, Craig Wilson, and Curtis Wilson, and his life companion Irene Doyle. Funeral Services will be held at the Shiloh Baptist Church 1837 North East Blvd. Vineland, NJ on Friday, February 17th, 2023 at 11am.
