Donald B. Knight, Jr., 39, of Mercer County formerly of Cedarville passed away on Wednesday, February 8, 2023. Born in Bridgeton to Donald B. Knight, Sr. and Sherry Adams Knight, he had been a resident of Mercer County for the past four years. Donnie was raised in Cedarville and had lived previously in Stockton NJ, Baltimore MD, Elizabeth City NC and Atlantic Beach NC. Donnie had been most recently employed at Princeton Electric in Princeton and had worked for several other Electrical Firms in the Mercer County area. He was a veteran of the United States Coast Guard serving during the conflict following the September 11, 2001 attacks and was tasked with guarding the domestic ports. In his free time, Donnie was an outdoorsman with a great love of hiking, fishing, kayaking and just enjoying the beauty of nature. He also had a great love of music and was an avid guitar player. Donnie enjoyed playing cover tunes of his favorite classic rock and contemporary artists. Donnie had a kind heart and a good soul and will be missed by the many friends and family members he leaves behind to cherish his memory. He is survived by his parents, Donald B., Sr. and Sherry Adams Knight of Fairfield Twp.; his brother, Adam Knight and his wife, Brittney of Hopewell Twp.; his sister, Terri Knight of Hopewell Twp.; three sons, Donald B. Knight III, Jaxson T. Knight and Lucas J. Knight; his maternal grandparents, George and Sally Adams of Malaga; his paternal grandmother, Harriet Knight of Sturgis, MI and many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and other family members. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Kaylee E. Knight; his uncle, Terry Adams and his grandfather, Frederick Knight. Funeral services will be held privately at the convenience of the family.
