Obituary of Robert F. Loew

Robert F. Loew, 74, of Upper Deerfield Township, passed away at home on Saturday February 4th, 2023. Born in Bridgeton, to the late James Loew and Edna Stout Loew, Robert was a resident of Cumberland County all of his life. Robert was a volunteer firefighter for 45 years for the Upper Deerfield Fire Department Co. #1 and also volunteered with the Bridgeton Fire Department. Robert served in the United States Navy from 1967-1971 where he was a pipe fitter on the USS Hancock and later transferred into the Naval Reserve. He earned a National Defense Medal, a Vietnam Service Medal, and a Vietnam Campaign Medal. Prior to retirement, he was employed with Local 669 as a Licensed Sprinkler Fitter. Roberts’s favorite thing to do in his spare time was to go hunting during the deer hunting season. He also enjoyed arrow hunting, fishing, metal detecting, fly tying, making knives, walking sticks, and leather crafting. Robert leaves to cherish his memory, his wife Gail of 52 years; his three children: John Loew, Bill Loew, and Janet Meehan (Sean); his daughter in law, Tiffany Loew; six grandchildren: Casey (David), Billy (Kayla), Josh (Roula), Sara (Chase), Justin (Tracy), & Kaylee; five great-grandchildren: Ryan, Colton, Nolan, Easton & Milo; his brother George Loew (BJ); sister in-law: Faith Fain; three brothers in-law: Ron, Ray & Bryan Washburn; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. He was predeceased by his parents James and Edna Loew. Funeral services will be held at the PADGETT FUNERAL HOME at 11:00 AM on Saturday, February 11th, 2023. Friends will be received at the PADGETT FUNERAL HOME, 1107 State Highway 77, Upper Deerfield Twp. from 10 AM to 11 AM prior to the services.
