Obituary of Rose Marie Ellis

Please share a memory of Rose to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Rose Marie Ellis (Rosie), born on June 12, 1955, to the union of Daniel W. and Minnie Ola (Tanksley) Ellis, was suddenly escorted by an angel at the age of 67 on November 26, 2022. Rosie graduated in 1973 from Bridgeton public schools. After high school she worked for Leons, Assem Pak, and the blind center assisting the disabled. Shortly after her health started to decline, she was no longer able to work. Rosie resided in Bridgeton where she raised her children and later became a resident of Millville, NJ. Rosie gave her heart to the Lord at an early age. She attended Mount Baptist Hill Church under the leadership of Reverend Walker and Earl Sudd in Deerfield, NJ. Cooking was her passion and she loved to watch people enjoy her food. Stuffing and Sweet potato cobbler were among her specialties. Spending time with her family and life partner of 46 years, Warren, brought her joy. If you knew Rosie, you know she was very outspoken and did not hold back, but it was all out of love. She had a special connection with each one of her kids, whom she spoiled, and they spoiled her. Having the kids take her shopping and out to eat was a special bonding moment. She leaves to mourn; her partner of 46 years, Warren Andrew; four children, Shirley (Frank) Kates of Bridgeton, NJ, Yolanda (Michael) Holloway of Pittsgrove, NJ, Andre Ellis aka Kooda of NY, and Victoria Ellis of Clayton, NJ; two granddaughters whom she raised, Shaniqua (Dave) Berle of Bridgeton, NJ, and Faith Torres (daughter), her little helper and reason for living of Baltimore, MD.; 7 siblings, Ruby Taylor of Bridgeton, NJ., Brenda Ellis of Salem, NJ., Audrey Ellis of Vineland, NJ., and Willie Ellis of Sicklerville, NJ; 23 grandchildren; 30 great grandchildren, and two new arrivals; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. She was predeceased by; her parents, Daniel, and Minnie Ola Ellis; a son, Tyrone (Essence) Ellis; four brothers, Johnny, Daniel, Bruce, and Theodore Ellis; her grandson, Daniel Ellis; and a great grandson, Mi'Heir Job Milledge. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, December 6, 2022, at Padgett Funeral Home, 1107 State Highway 77, Upper Deerfield Twp. at 11 AM. Friends and family will be received at the funeral home from 9 AM to 11 AM prior to the services.
