Obituary of Peggy A. Jenkins

Peggy Jenkins, 90, of Elmer NJ passed away peacefully at home on Tuesday, November 29, 2022 in the presence of her great-granddaughter and caregivers. She was born in Hartford, TN to the late Reverend Lewis and Martha Cates. Peggy married the late Theodore Jenkins, Staff Sergeant U.S. Army. They lived in Clarksville, TN for a number of years before permanently relocating to the Seabrook-Elmer, NJ area. Peggy worked at Seibel and Stern prior to her retirement. Peggy was predeceased by nine of her siblings and her husband, Theodore. She is survived by her sister, Georgia Jenkins; two sons, James Steven Jenkins and Robert Jenkins; one granddaughter, Kristy Dellacroce (Jenkins); two grandsons, Donald Jenkins and Alec Jenkins; one granddaughter, Savannah Jenkins; two great-grandsons, Benjamin Robinson and Cole Buck; and one great-granddaughter, Tayla Stakeman. Peggy, was lovingly known by all who knew her as “MomMom”. She was a kind, overly generous and loving soul who’s infectious smile brightened up your day without fail. Peggy enjoyed crocheting, shopping, gardening and tending to her plants, reading the Bible, and working crossword puzzles, and most of all spending time with her family and friends. The world was a better place because she was in it, and her family will miss her dearly. Funeral services will be held on Monday, December 5, 2022 at Padgett Funeral Home, 1107 State Highway 77, Upper Deerfield Twp. at 11 AM. Friends and family will be received at the funeral home from 10 AM to 11 AM prior to the services. Services will be conducted by Pastor Andrew Grunder, of Country Road Bible Church. Interment will immediately follow the services and take place at Olivet Cemetery in Pittsgrove Twp.
