Obituary of Tayna D. Buck

Tayna Deann Buck, age 62 of Port Norris, died on Wednesday, November 23, 2022. Born in Berrytown (Port Norris), NJ on April 15, 1960, she was the daughter of the late James Hayman and the late Gladys Buck. For the past 41 years she lived in various locations in Monmouth and Ocean Counties until recently. She moved back to Port Norris in 2015. Tayna was employed by the Federal Government for 24 years and had graduated from Cheyney University in Pennsylvania with a Bachelors Degree in computer science. She then chose to work with the developmentally disabled population. She often said she would do that type of work for free if she could. Tayna was a very quiet woman, keeping things very close to her heart. She was an avid reader and loved to play pool and watch football. She was not a church goer in her later years but believed and accepted Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior. Tayna leaves to cherish her precious memory, her brother, Duran Buck (Crystal) of Cape May Court House; two Godchildren, John White, Jr. and Nicole Gibbs and a host of cousins, nieces, nephew and friends. Funeral services will be held at the PADGETT FUNERAL HOME, 1107 State Highway 77, Upper Deerfield Township on Friday, December 9th at 12:00 Noon. Friends may call from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM prior to the services at the funeral home. Interment will take place at Haleyville Methodist Cemetery in Commercial Township.
